Review...Liz Earle cleanse and polish

Hey there beautifuls,

My little Mu's gone to a good home today, didn't stop me balling my eyes out saying goodbye :'(

I know she'll be well looked after and loved but I miss her already, I miss her putting her little paws on my face and rubbing noses with me and purring thank you after I've fed her.  Clearing away all her bits and bobs today was the hardest...Before I start the sniffling again I'll review the product shall I?

I was browsing the magazine aisles and came across a sample sized freebie with 'Red' magazine.  I can't say I've ever read Red hehe but with the freebie being the infamous Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish how could I say no?

My thoughts? I hate it, I know it's a cult product and a must-have for millions but it just didn't react well with me.  On first use it stung my eyes and the minty cooling sensation was taken to extremes on my dry sensitive skin.  It even left me with slightly swolen tingly lips which was not a good look I tell ya!

As far as cleasing went I don't think it worked as well as my Superdrug Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser which actually worked better on my mascara and eyeliner and it left my skin feeling tight and even dryer which again doesn't happen with my Vitamin E cleanser.

In a nutshell the only good thing about my buying the mag was the muslin cloth which also came free and the mag which was a pretty good read!

I really wanted to love the Liz Earle but sadly it just wasn't for me, it just goes to show you that what may work brilliantly for one person may be toxic for another.

Thanks for all yur lovely comments and kind words of supports, you guys have no idea just how wonderful they are and how much they mean to me and thank you again for sticking by me.  With my lovely little Mu sleeping sound somewhere else tonight I guess I'll have much more time to blog now.

Ciao for Now World

  1. I got this sample too and I actually quite like it, it seems to work a lot better than my Decleor cloth cleanser. However, I got up this morning and my face is COVERED in a rash. I changed all of my skincare at the same time, but I'm pretty sure it's this! Muslin cloth is a keeper, but apart from that ...

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks it's a bit crap!

  2. You might have had a reaction to the essential oils. My skin is quite reactive like that but I'm fine with C&P. What a shame it didnt work for you but atleast you got to try it out.

Hope you're feeling better soon missy.
